Travel + Leisure Profiles NoMad
Tuesday April 17, 2012
Travel + Leisure magazine recently posted a fantastic profile on our neighborhood of NoMad NYC. The article discusses how the impact of the new NoMad Hotel is helping to identify and help revitalize this great neighborhood. The piece explains this revitalization as this:
“…if urban renewal has a tipping point, the just-opened NoMad Hotel is it. Named for the neighborhood’s newfound acronym (NOrth of MADison Square Park), the 168-room property is a collaboration of Andrew Zobler, developer of the Ace, and Will Guidara and Daniel Humm, the duo behind Eleven Madison Park, the best restaurant in New York City at the moment.”
We couldn’t agree more, the NoMad hotel has been a fantastic way to showcase our neighborhood in recent weeks, but there are so many other thriving businesses that help to shape this neighborhood and Travel and Leisure do a good job of profiling them as well. Among the featured businesses in their article are, Hill Country Chicken, Shake Shack, Eleven Madison Park, La Mar, SD26, Bar Basque, The Hurricane Club, Ilili, John Dory Oyster Bar, and of course Eataly!
It’s such an exciting time to be in NoMan and it’s pieces like this that make us so proud to be involved in the revitalization of, what we think, is the best neighborhood in NYC.
