Learn To Ride A Bike in NoMad New York
Tuesday August 14, 2012
If you have not heard of it yet, Summer Streets is one of the cooler programs that the New York Government sponsors in Manhattan. On three Saturday’s in August, the city shuts down 6 streets in Manhattan and provides many fun and healthy activities to do there for the whole family. There is even a stop in NoMad New York.
One of the best services they provide may be the free bike classes. To go along with free bike rentals at these Summer Street “rest stops,” the NoMad Stop on 25th and Park Ave offers a free “learn to ride a bike” class. For everyone who looks enviously at the bike riders effortlessly zipping down the city’s bike lanes, but want a safe environment to learn or practice, this is a perfect opportunity to learn.
Other activities at the NoMad New York location include free bike and rollerblade rental, free bike repair and a Whole Foods Market picnic area. This Saturday is the last chance to take advantage of this, so head on over!
