Sweetgreen in NYC is Coming to NoMad
Monday October 15, 2012
We’re about to get a Sweetgreen in NYC. DC-area salad chain Sweetgreen is coming to NoMad New York. They are currently renovating a location between 27th and 28th St. on Broadway right next to the NoMad Hotel.
Sweetgreen started in DC when Georgetown students Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman and Nathaniel Ru, decided to open a restaurant that they would want to eat at all the time. They decided on a casual, simple, fast and healthy menu. The restaurant was born in 2007.
They now have 13 locations in the DC area and Pennsylvania featuring their local and organic ingredients. Sweetgreen also has an annual festival called Sweetlife where they bring tons of awesome acts to the DC Area. This year’s festival featured Skrillex, ZZ Top, Jack White and the Dismemberment Plan. They also bring bands into their locations for daytime stripped down concerts. Check out Sweetgreen NYC’s blog to learn more.
We’re so happy to be getting Sweetgreen in NYC!
