plenty to do in the summer of 2011 in madison square park

As you all know by now, we love summer, and we love our neighborhood of NoMad, right in the Madison Park area! There is almost too many events to check out during the summer and it can get a bit overwhelming at times to figuring out what to do on which night. Our friends at Madison Square Park have some great suggestions for all of our foodies out there, check them out below.

craftbar – Trivia Night – August 15, 7pm to 10pm

Enjoy trivia night in craftbar’s private event space! Test your knowledge of restaurants and pop culture, and indulge in German-inspired food and beverages: Riesling, in accordance with craftbar’s participation in the Summer of Riesling, and Captain Lawrence Kolsch, sticking to their tradition of carrying only domestic craft brews. The cost is $18 per person, which goes toward food. Beverages will be charged on consumption with beer at $6 and wine at $7. Please email nribbe@craftbarnyc.com for more information.

Eataly – Eataly’s First Birthday! – August 31

Eataly’s 1st Birthday is almost here! To ring in their first year of business, Eataly’s has created an event called “dine around,” which takes place on August 31. Only seven groups of 40 people each will be able to participate in this one of a kind event. Every Eataly restaurant on the ground floor will be closed to the public and entirely dedicated to these select diners. Each birthday guest will embark on a culinary tour from restaurant to restaurant to discover the best Eataly has to offer. Eataly’s six chefs will each prepare a special course and pair it with great wines. The first group will begin at 5pm and the last group will begin at 9:30, going in 45 minute intervals. The 5:45pm, 6:30pm, 7:15pm and 8pm time slots are sold out, but spots are available for all remaining reservation times.

To continue the Birthday Celebration, enjoy some of Eataly’s favorite products at unbelievable prices. Tickets are available for purchase on Eataly’s website, and the products are available from August 26 to 31, while supplies last.
