SoulCycle Opening in NoMad
Indoor cycling franchise SoulCycle recently signed a lease for a 6,000 square-foot space in the NoMad District. SoulCycle was represented by Gregory Tannor of Cushman & Wakefield in the transaction with Himmel + Meringoff Properties.
The new location, part of an 18-story building at 12 West 27th Street, features 3,500 square feet of ground-level space and 2,500 square feet of basement. The asking rate for the space was $125 per square foot. Mark Stein, who represented the building’s landlord Stephen Meringoff in the deal, spoke with Crain’s, commenting on the growth in the neighborhood, “with all these commercial buildings being rented up to young, vibrant companies, this is a definite need.”
SoulCycle has a number branches in New York City, including locations on the Upper West and East Sides, Tribeca and, most recently, on 19th street, just south of NoMad. The new NoMad studio opens this fall, but the bike fitness franchise recently announced plans for another new spot in the Financial District, to open within the coming months.
