Residential Highrise at 15 East 30th Street Planned For Northern NoMad
Real estate developer J.D. Carlisle has filed permits to start construction on a new 53-story residential high-rise at 15 East 30th Street in the NoMad District.
If approved, the development will reach a full 825 feet in height, making it the tallest structure between Chambers Street and the Empire State Building, even taller than the nearby One Madison Ave. Plans submitted by Handel Architects, which is designing the project, reveal that the structure will total 370,000 square-feet and include both 188 apartments and a 4,090 square-foot commercial space.
There is no word yet as to whether the living units will be rental or condos, but Curbed NY is speculating the property will contain condos given the proximity to J.D. Carlisle’s rental building on 32nd Street, directly north of NoMad.
