NoMad Area Starting The Chain Reaction In Commercial Real Estate
Thursday October 20, 2011
The NY Post published an article over the weekend that we found very an interesting. The piece focused primarily on the boom in commercial real estate in the city, and how little it seems to be slowing down. If you think about it, no matter where you go in Manhattan, you will seldom find a storefront that has been unoccupied for very long. As we have been reporting, our neighborhood of NoMad is an area that has been very active, with new restaurants and retail stores opening up almost every week!
Have a look at some of the new businesses we have covered thus far — this is just a small sample of how big the area NoMad is becoming!
Marimekko – The renowned Finnish textile maker has opened up their flagship NYC store just up the block from the Kew Offices here in NoMad.
Magia – New Italian osteria opening up on 23rd street
Schnippers – Just opened up a new location right by Madison Square Park, and are going toe to toe with Shake Shack for the best burger in the neighborhood.
La Mar Cebicheria Peruana – Gastón Acurio has just opened up a two-level spot near East 25th Street and Madison Avenue for his latest venture, an amzing Peruvian inspired restaurant.
AL Mayass – In Beirut, some of the best food is Armenian, and this restaurant’s interpretations, perennially popular there, are coming to New York. (October): 24 East 21st Street
