Marriott is planning on opening a hotel in NoMad

There are currently talks between developer John Lam and Marriott and Starwood Hotels & Resorts to open hotels in Lam’s new tower. This will be located on Broadway between West 29th and West 30th Streets in NoMad.

The project will apparently cost around $300 million to build. Up to now, NoMad has been known for hip small to medium size boutique hotels like Ace Hotel, Gansevoort Park, Hotel Giraffe, Gershwin Hotel and The NoMad Hotel.

Starwood is intending to match the boutique vibe and open a 300 room Aloft hotel. Marriott is planning a 400 room Renaissance brand hotel. It might not be long before NoMad becomes the top hotel destination in NYC!
