The NoMad Neighborhood has seen a huge increase in exciting retail openings over the past few years, and Kew Management has an exciting retail opportunity on the corner of 26th Street and Broadway, right at the intersection of two of the fastest developing strips in NoMad.

This busy intersection at 26th Street and Broadway has steady street traffic, which includes office workers, residents of the recent development in the area, and a stream of tourists moving between Herald Square and Madison Square Park (i.e., the Park, Flatiron Building an Eataly, etc).  Retail along the Broadway corridor also gets a big boost from the presence of The Ace, and NoMad Hotel on Broadway at 30th and 29th Streets.

This 8,687 sf space that we are able to offer has extensive frontage on both Broadway and 26th Street; it boasts 20 ft ceilings, skylights and even a 6,963 sf basement!  The space is located in the St. James Building, which was designed by Bruce Price. The building has a striking combination of stone, brick, terra cotta, iron and copper in the Beaux Arts style, and it offers space on a highly visible corner.

Our current tenants at 1123, 1129 and 1133, such as Hill Country Chicken on the corner of Broadway and 25th Broadway, are well-respected, highly successful retailers and are packed almost every day of the week.  Hill Country serves up chicken and pastry dishes from homemade Texan recipes, with the store becoming a destination for food lovers from around the city and the world. Noir et Blanc has an established clientele for fashions from Europe, including exclusive lines from Germany and Paris to give clients standout looks that other women won’t have in their wardrobe.  Recently Num Pang, the wildly successful and much touted gourmet Cambodian sandwich, opened their flagship store right next to the available space and the lines have been out the door!

Along Broadway from 30th to 25th, new stores include:

  • John Dory Oyster Bar
  • Stumptown Coffee
  • Opening Ceremony
  • No. 7 Sub
  • Maison Kitsune
  • Starbucks
  • Num Pang
  • Hill Country Chicken
  • Noir et Blanc

Along 26th from Sixth to Fifth, new restaurants and bars include:

  • Melt Shop
  • Flatiron Room
  • Grey Bar
  • Hog Pit
  • Hill Country Barbeque
  • Maysville
  • Soon to open a Belgian Beer Cafe
  • Soon to open a new quiet Mexican restaurant from Heartland Brewery
