Eleven Madison Park to Host All-Star Chef MAD Benefit Fundraiser
Eleven Madison Park is set to host a benefit dinner for culinary not-for-profit MAD later this month. Founded in 2011, MAD aims to build a community of cooks, purveyors, and thinkers with an appetite for knowledge and a desire to improve the restaurant trade.
The dinner, on March 18th, will raise money and awareness for MAD’s annual symposium held in Copenhagen, which brings together cooks from around the world for two days of talks and idea sharing.
The benefit at Eleven Madison Park has quite the all-star roster. To preare the meal, Eleven Madison Park’s own Daniel Humm will team up with René Redzepi of Noma, David Chang of Momofuku, Boston cooking legend Barbara Lynch, and Brazilian chef Alex Atala, Milk Bar chef Christina Tosi and Eleven Madison Park’s Angela Pinkerton will create the dessert.
Julie Reiner of the Clover Club will design the cocktails, and Momofuku’s sommelier Jordan Salcito will provide the wine pairings.
The event will also feature a silent auction co-hosted by Padma Lakshmi and Lydia Fenet.
Tickets are still available, at $1,500 per person (or $2,000 for VIP access).
