Dough Bakery Expands South of NoMad
Popular bakery Dough has announced plans to expand into a new shop south of the NoMad District. The Brooklyn-based bakery has been making waves in recent years with their massive and interestingly-flavored doughnuts.
While Dough first started as a stand at the Brooklyn Flea, it quickly grew into its own shop in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. The bakery’s popularity grew so quickly that, in addition to frequently selling out at its own donut stands, Dough’s product line has been picked up by Brooklyn Fare, Whole Foods and coffee shop chain The Bean.
The doughnuts, a creation of Chef Fany Gerson, come in a variety of unique flavors, including hibiscus, café au lait, salted chocolate and caramel, toasted coconut and dulce de leche.
The new Dough Bakery flagship is located at 14 West 19th Street in the Flatiron District, between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue. The new store is open now, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Call (212) 24-DOUGH for more information.
