David Wax Museum Playing Madison Square Park Tonight!

You got through hump day this week and you must be looking for something to do. Well, we got you covered! David Wax Museum, a fantastic folk group, is set to play the park tonight as part of the  Madison Square Music Oval Lawn Series. This is one of the many great events taking place around NoMad, as the series presents free music in Madison Square Park every Wednesday through August 10th.

David Wax Museum has been getting some great buzz, recently being anointed as Boston’s Americana Artist of the Year, and “one of Boston’s hottest new bands” (The Boston Globe). They have been a staple on NPR’s influential podcast All Songs Considered, and have had much talked about performances at the Newport Folk Festival. It’s set to be a beautiful night tonight and their music is a perfect complement to the setting sun in Madison Park, so get out there. We also have the rest of the performances listed below, so if you can’t make this one you have two more weeks!

For this show the “doors” are set to open at 7PM.

The Rest of the 2011 Lineup of Madison Square Music Oval Lawn Series:

July 27 David Wax Museum
August 3 Pedrito Martinez Group plus special guest Brian Lynch
August 10 Davell Crawford: Tribute to Ray Charles
