Big Apple BBQ 2011 Kicks Off June 11

For two glorious days, Madison Square Park will be turned into BBQ heaven. You can take a tour of finger-licking food from the country’s top pitmasters — without having to venture outside of the city — this all during the annual two-day barbecue event known as the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party. In between plates of some serious grub you can listen to tunes from bluegrass and blues musicians or check out free food demos. These demos are designed to teach all of us how to whip up delicious side dishes, dips and bourbon cocktails!

All of the fast passes are sold out, but fear not the event is open to the public, and all of the dishes are set to cost $8 a plate. Blue Smoke, Hill Country, Dinosaur and Rack & Soul will be representing NY, but make sure you get to taste all the great pittmasters from across the US! The event runs from June 11 – 12 within the hours of 11am – 6pm.

This is a not miss for meat lovers!
